We aim to organise the 19th St.Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference in accordance with the criteria of the Austrian Eco Label for Green Meetings.

In order to make SGBCC 2025 truly more sustainable we do however need each and every delegate to support our endeavour – small steps can go a long way so we encourage you to follow our sustainability tips below:

• Use public transport during your stay in Vienna. The Viennese public transport system, the Wiener Linien, is the most efficient way to get around the city and the tube station “Kaisermühlen – V.I.C.” is just around the corner of the conference centre! For ease of use, a public transport ticket valid for all conference days is included in your registration fee!
• Bring your own reusable water bottle to the venue to fill up throughout the day
• Make sure to recycle onsite – we place marked recycling bins around the venue so make sure to bin unavoidable waste the right way
• Don’t print your QR-Code for onsite registration – you can show it on your phone or another digital device for your badge to be printed onsite
• Try taking the train to travel to Vienna – the city has excellent connections to a lot of European cities and the OEBB nightjets are renowned for their convenient connections around all of Europe!
• If you cannot get around flying, you can always offset the environmental impact via carbon compensation
• Spread the word and motivate others to contribute to a successful sustainable congress – together we can make this the most sustainable SGBCC so far!
