For individuals outside of the EU / EEA a visa application might be required to travel to Austria. Please find some general information on the topic below.

Nationals that are not citizens of EU member states, European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland might require a visa in order to enter the Schengen Area or the Austrian territory.

Citizens of EU member states, European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland do not need a visa for entering the Republic of Austria.

In case you require a visa, we will gladly issue a visa invitation letter for your application. You can request the invitation letter during the online registration process. Kindly note that invitation letters will only be issued once the full payment has been received and won’t be provided prior to registration under any circumstances.

If you are registered through a group and require a visa invitation letter, please get in contact with your group coordinator for further procedures.

For official press members, we will gladly issue an invitation letter after receiving their registration and a scan of their valid press credentials.
